Can I claim travel expenses from charity work using the VAT petrol receipt?
I've just started volunteering for a charity and can claim back my travel expenses, however I already submit my VAT petrol receipts to my company to reclaim business mileage. Can I provide the charity with copies of the VAT petrol receipt or do they need the original receipt?
(Just to be clear I'm not claiming for the same mileage twice. But unfortunately the mileage I do for the charity/business/personal use is all covered by the one receipt).

You should check with the charity/HMRC first, but there shouldn't be any problem with that, as long as you are not claiming the same mileage twice.
