What's the best car for a new driver?

I’m looking to buy a used car for my 17 year old son. I have about £9000 to spend and my son likes the SEAT Ibiza FR, Ford Fiesta and Vauxhall Corsa limited edition. Which of these do you recommend?

The Ford Fiesta 1.25 82PS or 1.4 are the most reliable. See www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar
