Why is the ESP light on my Golf staying on?
I have a 2007 Volkswagen Golf 1.9TDI and the Electronic Stabilisation Programme (ESP) light has come on. I've tried resetting but it won't work, any ideas?

The brake pressure sensor inside the ATE Teves Mk 60 ABS/ESP module has failed. Originally Volkswagen dealers were trying asking owners for £1800 for a complete new module, but this caused a fuss and eventually VOSA stepped in and had a word.
So, if your local dealer or independent specialist won't fix it with a repair kit for less than £500, have a mechanic remove the module and send it to www.ecutesting.com
