Does my Volkswagen have a DPF?
I have recently moved from France to Guernsey and from reading your Daily Telegraph column am concerned about potential DPF problems due to low usage. However I am not sure if DPFs were fitted back in 1999. Also I had a replacement engine fitted in France in 2010. Would this have altered the situation?

No DPF on this and actually the added lubricity of the diesel fuel itself makes a pre-DPF diesel better for short runs than a petrol engine.
