Buying a Mini Cooper - should I wait for the new model?

I was about to place an order for the current mk 2 MIni Cooper when I learned that a new mark 3 model was shortly to be released. My dealer has advised that the new model will not be available until March 2014. Is this information correct and do you think that I should wait ? Presumably the new model would have advantages over the current edition. Do you have any information on the forth coming new models ?

I think so. All we have so far are some pix and engine details for the new range of MINIs: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/mini/mini-iii-2014/ It's going to be 'all new'. New engines and new bodies.

Great performance from Cooper S, much smoother and more sophisticated than first generation, capable of travelling distances in comfort.
