Which oil should I use in my Jaguar XF?
Following a previous question about Castrol having the sole rights to oil for the Jaguar XF, I now notice that both Shell (Helix Diesel Ultra AF-L 5w-30) and Millers (XF Longlife C1 5w-30) are claiming that they meet the M2C934-B spec. Does this mean that they can be used legitimately as a replacement for the £90 Jaguar dealer supplied oil?

That's a question the answer to which would have to be decided by a judge in a court after a warranty claim was turned down because Castrol had not been used. But Jaguar has already told you that MC2V934-B is ok. You would need to keep written receipts with that oil spec on them.
