Which car would suit a pizza delivery driver?
I am driving a 2003 Toyota Yaris diesel. I deliver pizzas for a living and have covered 80,000 miles in the past three years without any problems. However, last week, the car started having EGR valve issues and started losing power. I’ve also noticed a knocking noise when starting from cold.
What are my best options for a new car for my work as a delivery driver? I am looking for cheap road tax, good fuel economical and good all round reliability. So far I’m thinking a 2007 Volkswagen Golf 1.9 TDI, 2006 Ford Fiesta 1.6 TDCi or a 2007 Kia Cee’d 1.6 diesel. What do you suggest?

The 1.9 in the Volkswagen Golf avoids a DPF, but the car will probably be expensive. The 2007 Kia Cee'd 1.6 CRDI uses a chain cam and does not have a DPF. The Fiesta 1.6TDCI 90 will be the most cheapest to buy and most economical and a 2006 did not have a DPF. Obviously is it the stop/start nature of the job that has knackered the Yaris, so you can expect this to happen again.
