Should I convert my Saab 9-5 to LPG?

Is LPG conversion a worthwhile venture? I have just been given a 2003 Saab 9-5 and want to improve its fuel consumption.

Not worth spending £1500 - £2000 fitting an LPG conversion to a 10 year old car.
