What's the best method for fixing a minor scratch?
My wife had her Volkswagen Polo scratched in a car park recently and the perpetrator left a note. I am keen to keep the cost down in view of his honesty and avoid involving my insurer. I am considering one of the 'at home' repairers such as Autorestore. Will this fix it?

Depends entirely on the nature of the scratch. Some can be 'invisibly' repaired. Others can't:
