Ford Mondeo losing power - what could the problem be?
My 2005 Ford Mondeo TDCi has started losing power and, most recently, the power cut out completely. After a few tries, it restarted, but now sounds like a bag of bolts. After reading your forum, we cleaned out the EGR valve and re-fitted it. The car started and drove for 10 miles of so and then again went into limp mode and cut out. Is there anything you can suggest to help us fix the car?

Well the best way forward would be to have a diagnostic check carried out as this should then identify by fault code where the problem lies.( most likely one of the many sensors).
Other than that you may want to check/replace the CKP ( crankshaft position sensor) which is cheap and easy to replace.
