Need a new family estate/4x4 - what should I buy?
I’m having trouble choosing a new car; I need room for a child with enough boot space for lots of luggage. I would like something rugged and sporty, as I do short journeys midweek, with a 600 mile round trip every month.
I’m really tempted by the Dacia Duster, but not keen on paying extra for things like air con. Would I be better off buying a second hand Skoda Yeti/Subaru Legacy/Ford Focus Estate instead?

Without 4WD, a Duster Laureate 1.5 DCI is £12,995. A Yeti with a/c will be a few years old for that. A Legacy is a big car: very different. A Focus estate is practical, but a C-Max makes more sense. But the cheapest will be the Dacia Logan MCW estate, the dearest of which is still less than £10,000.
