What is the best small 4WD for towing and light agricultural use?

We have a Mazda 6 and, last week, we bought eight acres of land for livestock farming, so we now need a vehicle capable of pulling a stock trailer, negotiating tracks and carrying loads such as bales of hay. Should I just put a towbar on the Mazda 6, which is our main car, or should I look for something different? What I don't want is a big 4x4 type car as it will also be used as our daily runaround and commuter.

There aren't many small 4WDs, and the new models that look like small 4WDs are mostly 2WD. That leaves you with the Suzuki Jimny, Daihatsu Terios, Suzuki Grand Vitara SWB, FIAT Panda 4x4, and the Toyota Urban Cruiser 1.4 AWD. The Vitara will be the best tower.
