We need a car for use on icy roads - what would you recommend?

We have a 2010 Skoda Fabia and a 1999 Subaru Justy but we need to replace these with just one car. We live in a forest and every winter have to drive on icy roads, so we need a 4WD. My Justy is super on ice but Justys are not what they used to be. What would you recommend?

The simplest answer to this is to buy a separate set of wheels (preferably 15-inch) with winter tyres for the winter, and fit these to the Fabia from October until March. They are far more effective in snow and ice than 4WD.
