BMW X3 or Range Rover Evoque?
I will be selling my BMW 5 Series Touring soon. I have had back problems and, after driving to Scotland, am left in significant pain which takes a day or so to ease. I thought that a higher seating position might help. Would you agree? Can you give an opinion on the BMW X3 vs the Range Rover Evoque? How can I get the best deal?

X3s and Evoques are holding their value too well for new ones to be discounted. X3s are more practical, Evoques are more fashionable. The X3 has a chain cam diesel engine whilst Evoque diesels are belt cam - only the 240PS petrol engine is chain cam. The X3 is much more roomy. As for comfort, there's a long-distance test here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/bmw/bmw-x3-f25-201.../
