Which Fiat 500 model would you recommend?

I know you are very pleased with your Fiat 500 and I'm thinking of buying one secondhand. Which model would you recommend and what would you recommend as an alternative?

Mine's a March 2008 1.2 Lounge which has suffered no faults in four years and depreciation has worked out at about £500 a year. Lounge spec is best, 1.2-litre version cheapest and it returns 50mpg. The 900 TwinAir is more fun to drive while 500Cs came with improved suspension from summer 2009. Later, all 500s from 2010 build got the improved suspension, but you need to look under the back to make sure. There isn't anything else that looks as good, but a Mazda 2 1.3TS2 is quicker and more fun to drive.
