Is there a slightly smaller, more economical version of the Honda CR-V?

We are in our mid-seventies and have owned our 2003 Honda CR-V automatic since new. Apart from Honda servicing, it has cost us nothing except tyres and windscreen wiper blades. It is the best car we have owned by far and is ideal for pensioners who are beginning to creak when getting in and out. The Honda will be nine years old next month with 63,000 miles on the clock and inevitably something must pack up, maybe before one of us. I would like to have another CR-V. It would have to be secondhand this time, maybe 2008, but we only do around 6000 miles a year now. Is there a smaller, more economical, automatic vehicle that you would recommend?

You could consider a Honda Jazz 1.4iVTEC CVT-7. They are much nicer and more 'grown up' now than they used to be. The ES spec is enough and there's no point in paying more for the EX.

Neatly styled. Increased room and better performance than original Jazz. better to drive. Very versatile. CVT-7 returned in February 2011 replacing i-SHIFT. More reliable than first generation Jazz.
