Why do my sister's Volkswagen Golf's windows open themselves?
My sister has a 2005 Volkswagen Golf TDI 1.9 which has done 80,300 miles. On three occasions over the last two years she has returned to the locked car to find all four windows have opened fully. Can you help?

If she didn't inadvertently press the remote, the problem is caused by moisture ingress to the locking and windows ECU that sits inside the driver's door.
