Where can I sell a £25,000 car safely?

I am considering selling my car privately and will be asking around £25,000 for it. What do you consider the safest way to conduct the sale? I have read some very worrying stories regarding private sales, even when using a bankers draft. I have sold vehicles privately before, but usually for figures that can be transacted in cash.

If you want to sell the car safely use www.sure-sell.info. If you want to take a risk to try to get more money, it's up to you. The one and only safe way to accept money is cash in a bank, any bank, even if it is in stages, so you can immediately credit cash to your account. By stages, I mean if the bank will only allow £5000 at a time, do it £5000 cash at a time. Cheques and drafts are not cash and they are not safe.
