Can you recommend a car with smooth ride to help with my wife's disability?

My wife has fused discs in her spine and, despite much padding and cushioning, is reluctant to travel more than a few miles in my 2002 Peugeot 307 XSI which she finds too firm for comfort. There are hundreds of middle-aged Jaguars available at prices between £900 and £2500, but I don't know which ones may be softly sprung or a bad buy, and I'd be very grateful for a shortlist of other possible 'comfort' cars I could look for?

I'm not sure that a slumbery old Jag will be the best answer. You need soft suspension, fat tyres, comfortable seats and crucially something easy to get in and out of. An MPV might suit her better, for example a Toyota Previa.
