Why didn't I get an adaptor which allows me to fill up my Ford Focus from a petrol can?
I missed an appointment when I discovered that I needed to fill up my 2008 Ford Focus with petrol from a can, being nowhere near a filling station. I found that I couldn't, so I was effectively immobile. I only then discovered that the car had been sold to me (by a Ford dealer) without a vital component - a plastic funnel that enables you to fill from a can. I understand it has a special filler neck that prevents people from accidentally filling up with diesel (and from diesel drivers filling with petrol). I am very grateful I wasn't miles from home when I discovered this and think your readers should know.

Good point. All Fords, including the new Ranger pick-up, now have Easyfuel misfuel prevention fillers so this applies to all of them. But they all also come with a narrow accessory funnel to overcome the lock in the filler and that will allow you to fuel (or misfuel) from a can.
