How many BMW Z3 Roadsters are left in the UK?

I own a 2003 BMW Z3 3.0i Sports Roadster. I have been told that not many of this particular car were built. Is there a way of finding out how many were built, and how many of this type are registered in the UK?

www.howmanyleft.co.uk tells tell you how many are in the UK, not how many were built. Currently there are 3782 still taxed and a further 99 on SORN.
