Which MPV for high mileage and good comfort?
I have owned a 2007 SEAT Altea 2.0TDI from new and I think that it's time to change. Ideally I'd like something with a little more luggage carrying capacity and, as I am now in my seventies, comfort and economy are more important than high performance. As we do a large mileage travelling in France and Spain, the economic case for diesel is stronger and that is what I normally drive. I am thinking about a later model Ford C-Max or Focus, or possibly a Nissan Qashqai and I have a budget of around £15,000 including trade-in.

The cars you list won't give you significantly greater carrying capacity, but a SEAT Altea XL will. You might not have been aware of this longer, more commodious version of the Altea. It's tested here as the Freetrack, which is four-wheel drive and no longer available, but shares the XL body: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/seat/seat-altea-fr.../
The other way to go is with a Ford S-Max: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/ford/ford-s-max-20.../
