Which diesel fuel for my Mercedes-Benz E220?
I am about to purchase a new Mercedes E220 ‘Executive SE’ saloon. I have read varying reports on supermarket diesel fuel and I am reluctant to fill up at my local supermarket. As an alternative, would you advise I should use Shell, BP or Texaco, together with a recommended type?

Use BP Ultimate diesel or Shell V-Power diesel. In my experience, Shell Fuelsave diesel also seems to be okay, but diesel engines run more smoothly on V-Power. Be very careful when filling up not to fill with Ultimate petrol, V-Power petrol or Fuelsave petrol.
