BMW 328i or Mercedes-Benz E-Class - which should I buy?
I am looking to purchase a new car and, as I only cover about 6000 miles a year, I've shortlisted the BMW 328i and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe 250CGI, both with automatic gearboxes. I am looking for a degree of comfort and a mix of style, performance and reliability. Which make and model will in your opinion be the best buy?

The F30 BMW 328i. It is an outstanding car, tested here with video: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/bmw/bmw-3-series-f.../

I am thinking of buying a BMW 320d Auto GT M Sport, do these cars have a problem with towing because of the auto gearbox? If they do, does this apply to other auto vehicles as well?

The BMW 3 series has an automatic transmission and a sports automatic transmission on most models. The sports is about £250 extra, not much on the price of the car.
