Which car has five seats and room for a wheelchair?

I am looking at replacing my 2000 1.8-litre petrol Volkswagen Passat Estate with something of similar size. I need five seats plus room for a wheelchair, and something that will cope with quite a few short journeys. I am considering a new shape Focus estate or a Golf estate, or is there something else I should consider? I am looking for something up to one year old and have a budget around £18,000.

An MPV makes more sense than an estate car, the Ford C-Max, Mazda 5, Renault Scenic, Toyota Verso or Vauxhall Meriva, that sort of thing. They are all available with petrol engines and the 1.8i Valvematic offered in the Verso is the best engine, the 1.4TCe in the Scenic and the 1.4T in the Vauxhall Meriva the next best.
