Which small car offers ease of access and good fuel economy?

I am now approaching the end of my driving days, but have decided to buy my last new car. My requirements include ease of access, good economy, low VED and extras including rear sensors, sunroof (not essential) and metallic paint if you think it is worth the expense. I have about £10,000 - £11,000 to spend. I would use it mainly for shopping trips locally.

The best car for you is probably a Suzuki Splash or Vauxhall Agila, as tested here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/suzuki/suzuki-spla.../

The Suzuki Splash has the lowest first time MoT failure rate of any car sold in the UK in volume.

Surprisingly spacious small five-door city car. Makes best sense with 1.0 petrol engine. Much better than old Agila. Rebadged version of Suzuki Splash.
