Does the attached correspondence regarding the new Protection of Freedoms bill help at all?

I thought that the attached correspondence from Norman Baker would add to the debate. I had raised the points discussed in your letters column directly with my MP and he has followed this through: it would be interesting to see whether other readers obtained the same response?

Standard pro-format latter. And now too late. The Bill passed its report stage on 8 November. Clause 56 was unamended. The British Parking Association will be setting up an independent appeals scheme to operate from October 2012. Meanwhile, the BPA has asked that if I receive complaints about private parking enforcement that I feel are justified, I should ask readers to register their concern at www.britishparking.co.uk/AOS-Enquiries. You can find the BPA Code of Practice at: www.britishparking.co.uk/Approved-Operator-Scheme-...e.
