Should I expect DPF, DMF and cam belt problems with my new Ford Kuga TDCi?
I am soon to take delivery of a Ford Kuga 2.0 TDCi 163 Titanium. Should I be concerned about the 'dual mass flywheel', DPF, and belt cam? I am not too worried about the DPF due to the type of trips it will be doing, but recent comments regarding the DMF and belt cam engines does worry me. The car will be doing no more than 5000 miles a year. What is the story regarding pre-registered vehicles having to wait six months before release?

Yes, you have to worry about all of these things, though probably not for the first three to four years of ownership. If you got the car for a big discount and it cannot be registered to you for six months, that's because you have bought a car originally sold to a fleet at a fleet discount on condition it has to be registered to the fleet for six months. You will have to declare to your insurer that the car is not actually registered in your name. Speeding and parking tickets will not come to you directly, possibly resulting in late payment penalties.
