Which tyres should I fit to my 2003 Lexus IS 200 for motorway use?
I have a 2003 Lexus IS 200 Sportcross with 205/55x16 V Bridgestone ER300 Turanzas that need renewing soon. I would appreciate your advice as to the best replacements. My instinct favours Continental Premium Contacts, as my driving style is fairly laid back. I guess the Conti Sport tyre may not offer any advantage? I cover about 6000 miles a year, 70 per cent on motorways so safety is my first concern.

Same size Toyo J48s. That's what my Mazda 5 came on and they are comfortable, grippy in all conditions, give good steering feel and are predictable. Alternatively the new Michelin Primacy 3 that offers excellent dry and wet braking and good wet cornering grip as well as long life and good fuel economy. They will be available from February 2012.
