Buying an exhaust for a Golf
I've been quoted £803.53 inc. VAT for the middle section of a Golf 1.6 exhaust with cat and 2 lambda sensors. There is a rebate of £186 on returning the old unit, making a total of £617.53. This seems astronomical!
I recently had the front section changed for £300, which is bigger and also has a cat. (Volkswagen's price for this is circa £700 without fitting.)
Where can I buy the part I need, with or without fitting, at a sensible price?

Exhaust centres. Shop around but, of course, a pattern part might not last as long.
