Replacement for a Berlingo Multispace?

Currently drive 2003 Citroen Berlingo Multispace 2.0 HDI diesel. Have had it from new and done 107k.

Like: Reliability, quirky French utilitarian character, load space, thrifty 90BHP motor and sliding doors.

Dislike: Poor quality suspension build/design leading to clunky steering.

Looking for something similar (probably used) that is comfortable, has a soft ride and has better build quality to put up with our terrible roads. Already tried Skoda Yeti (too pricey and underwhelming performance) and C3 Picasso (Uncomfortable according to wife).

Would like to spend around £10K but could stretch to £20K if you can convince me it will last me another 10 years and be reliable. Prefer diesel and do average mileage. Not keen on in car electronic bling!
