Bio-diesel causing breakdowns?
My husband and I are trying to decide whether to buy diesel or petrol for our new car and will probably be purchasing an ix35. My parents also run a new Ford Focus diesel. We run two older diesels at present. A friend has had two breakdowns of her ix35 diesel caused by the biodiesel at ordinary pumps. The garage and RAC have told her that it has caused a blockage near the injectors (but not dpf blockage). Is this a well known problem? Which garages do not sell biodiesel mixed in with their diesel?

Yes, has been common this winter because the moisture content in biodiesel partially freezes, turning it waxy, which blocks the diesel filter.
