My used MINI is problematic, can I get a refund?

I bought it in December (21st)) Ive since driven 1070 miles. ( (Most of that was just driving it home - dealer is 300 miles away) The power steering fails intermittently - I told the dealer and he sent me a 6 month Autoguard warranty. (with £750 cap) but on Monday night the clutch went. I had to be towed to a garage. They have said it needs a new clutch, hydraulic slave cylinder and possible flywheel.

They've quoted £650 not inc flywheel (or power steering) I emailed the dealing and he says he has no legal responsibilty to either contribute towards costs or refund the vehicle entirely. He says its wear and tear. Do I have a leg to stand on?

Law here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/consumer-rights/ Since the amount involved is under £5,000 you can get on the small claims track via www.moneyclaim.gov.uk and stand a much better chance if it goes to court than you would if the amount was over £5,000.
