Accelerator problems with a Hyundai Getz

Intermittantly the accelerator ceases to function on my Hyundai Getz and the car just chugs along, then all of a sudden acceleration kicks in. Had the car to three garages, all hooked up their diagnostics machines but no fault was found. No fault is showing on dashboard either. Car runs better on a full tank of petrol.

Might be the fuel pick-up in the fuel tank or the fuel tank sender pump or its earth or the sender pump relay or its earth.

I've just bought a Renault Megane 1.6 petrol. When I start the engine, it starts but loses power at first. It needs a bit of accelerating to keep the engine running. I have changed the spark plugs already,...
The accelerator was no longer responding on our Espace and it was still picking up speed. I switched the engine off and then on again, and the car started revving itself.
Car starts, but no acceleration, pedal seems okay, but no response/revs when applying the accelerator pedal, stuck doing 1 mph.
