Passat with no heater and overheating at high rpm

I have a problem with my Passat TDI 130 PS 2001, on motoway journeys over 50mph, the temperature rises, or when holding revs over 2000rpm. I have had the water pump/cam belt replaced as thought that was the problem.

Had to drive 1000 miles after and the problem is still there. Had the thermostat replaced, still have the problem. There is no sign of a leak or loss of water. The heaters have not ever got warm since I have had the car and now doesn't seem to warm up at all (blowing cold/freezing air).

There is no sign of water in the oil (or vise versa) even after the 1000 miles I did in 2 days. the car still has the problem and i dont know where to go next with the problem solving. Hope you can help me

Well overheating on this model (and specifically when driven over 50 mph) is a known fault, and is caused by the coolant pump impeller cracking and slipping on the pump shaft. However you say that the water pump has been changed(when the cam belt was replaced), did you do it yourself or was it done by a garage, and if so are you 100% sure that they replaced the water pump?

Other than that given that ref the heater problem , then you may want check that the heater hoses are actually getting hot ie the input hose to the matrix and the output hose.If the input hose is hot and the output hose is cold then the most likely cause is either air in the system ( requires bleeding) or the matrix is blocked. If blocked you could try flushing the system out.
