Mazda diesel engine problems
I have fitted an 2004 2.0-litre diesel engine to my Mazda 6 after the big ends went. Both engines have same engine code. I have now got what seems to be fuelling problems such as excess smoke and diesel knock after a couple of minutes.
I fitted original injectors, fuel pump and all sensors to the new engine. Any advice would be appreciated.

Well we would suggest that you check /change the fuel filter.
Then check /change the air cleaner.
after that ( and assuming it is black smoke you are talking about) then you may need to check the EGR valve.
Note.
Black smoke is indicating that the air to fuel ratio is incorrect.
