Honda iDtec DPF problems

I'm reading about quite a few DPF problems on the 2008 onward Honda Accord. Drivers seem to get a blocked DPF warning message and then even if they do a motorway run it wont go off, and that forces them to take it to the dealer for an expensive £150+ regen. Have you heard of this?

First report on an Accord iDTEC. I'd had one on a Civic iDTEC. Standard DPF problem, very common on Mazdas, known on FIAT 500 Multijets. But DPFs anyway only last 80k - 120k at best. They are generally a disaster and why I advise readers not to buy ex-fleet diesels.
