Notchy steering on a Mondeo
I have notching from dead centre to a slight r/h turn, this happens when the car has been stood over night and goes after half a mile of driving.
Any ideas?

I had two intermittent banging noises like metal plates for 5 secs, with a loss of power when pulled away after a full steering lock u-turn from a cold start.

My daughter has a 3 yr old Mazda2. For some time it has suffered a knocking in the steering at or near full lock. Mazda dealer has regreased steering column on several occasions with only temporary improvement....
