Is the Volkswagen Polo due upgrades? I'm thinking of buying and don't want to miss out

I am looking to buy a five door Volkswagen Polo. Do you know of any forthcoming modifications or shape changes that Volkswagen might be introducing in the near future?

Would you recommend a diesel or petrol engine? My mileage is low, only between 100-150 miles per week.

VAG cars continuously improve. I don't know what's next for the Polo.
