Personal Injury claim after claimant's insurance company admitted liability
My wife car was struck heavily from behind, causing it to be off the road and requiring around £7000 in repairs. The other driver's insurance company contacted my wife by phone before she had even got home from hospital.
They arranged for the vehicle to be repaired and paid for the hire car. We have just received a letter from a personal injury lawyer, making a claim against my wife for the other driver's injuries claiming that she was at fault. He was off work for three days; my wife was off work for four weeks - and is still under treatment for neck and shoulder injuries.
Given his insurers have accepted liability, can he do this?

Threaten to countersue. If the case goes to court the other driver may well get a prison sentence for this.
