My oil smells of petrol

I have just noticed that I can smell petrol from the oil filler cap and dip stick. The car is running perfectly and mpg and temps seem fine. Am I worrying about noting or does the car just need an oil change, as it has done 6000 miles since last change.

Give it an oil and filter change.
