Looking to buy a small automatic petrol hatchback as a second car.
I have recently bought a Mercedes-Benz C-Class auto, and in order to make things easier for my wife and I, it might make sense to purchase a small automatic as a second car for short trips. Annual mileage would be about 5000.
Could you suggest a petrol with four or five doors. Reliability and economy are important, and should be able to accommodate two small grandchildren in the back.
Our budget is about £8000-10,000.

Surprisingly spacious small five-door city car. Makes best sense with 1.0 petrol engine. Much better than old Agila. Rebadged version of Suzuki Splash.
