Winter Tyres for a Lexus - Is this advice of any use?

A question was asked by 'president steev' on 1st November about where to source 225/60/R17 winter tyres - your correspondent noted he was having trouble locating some for his Lexus.

I don't own a Lexus, but I do have an ix35 which runs on the same size tyres. I have today purchased a set of winter tyres in 225/60/R17 from Oponeo.com, but found that a number of other online retailers including Pneus online (www.tyres-pneus-online.co.uk), Black Circles (blackcircles.com) and Performance Alloys (performancealloys.com) stock a fair range in this size, so there is plenty of opportuntity to shop around. Would be grateful if you could please pass this on.
