Buying a 1.8 TSI Skoda Superb - have you heard of any problems with them?

I will be test driving a 1.8TSI (Skoda Superb) tomorrow and would be interested to know if the TSI engines in VAG vehicles are as troublesome as the TDI engines.

I can't help wondering about the fact that the engine has a turbo and a supercharger, to me that sounds like trouble waiting to happen, what have you heard ?

No, but there have been a few that have consumed excessive amounts of oil. See the entry in www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar
