Buying a 4x4. What would you recommend?

I am looking for a 4x4. My garage has recommended a Honda CR-V, a Toyota RAV 4 or a Nissan Qashqai. I have never driven a 4x4 so it is important I find one that is easy to drive. I am not a long distance driver so it will only be around town. Safety is important and it should have a good resale in 5 years.

Nothing to driving any of these. The CRV and RAV select AWD automatically when needed. A Qashqai AWD has a switch.
