A car for a four mile commute
Need to buy a medium sized car for the wife she only travels 4 miles a day to work so diesel no use. was thinking of a toyota prius but am worried that the low miles wont charge the batteries and cause problems down the line. What would you recommend?

Prime candidate for a plug in electric like the forthcoming £15,000 Renault Zoe. But probably makes more sense to go the the cheapest, smallest new car available such as a Nissan Pixo or Suzuki Alto for around £6,000. Might even get a Citroen C1 or Peugeot 107 for that, and they're free annual tax.
