What tyres for my RAV4?

I have a Toyota RAV4 estate 2002. I wish to purchase 4 winter tyres and would like to know if there is a make you can recommend. The tyre size is 215/70R 16. I am obviously looking for good performance but do not want to pay twice the price for only 20% better performance / wear, so I guess I am looking for value for money. I have a spare set of rims that I intend to leave the winter tyres on.

I'd go for Michelin Latidude Alpin, but to get a balanced view, check out the comparative tests at www.tyre-reviews.co.uk
