Quieter tyres for a Jetta?

I perhaps foolishly bought a new VW Jetta 2.0TDi about 9 months ago. I have not covered as high a mileage as I anticipated and the Hancook Ventus Prime2 205/55/R16 tyres still have plenty of tread.

However, I am sure that this car is one of the noisiest I have ever driven - on motorways and trunk roads with the old non permeable surfaces you can hardly hear the wind noise for the road noise at 60-70 mph upwards!

I was not best pleased to see Hancook tyres when I took delivery but now I want to change to a quieter alternative assuming there is one. I have seen you recommend Michelin Energy tyres for other makes/models. What are my choices please?

This size, Michelin Energy Saver + or Michelin Primacy 3. But the car may need an alignment and SAS reset. Try www.alignmycar.co.uk
