Affect of diesel additives on DPF

I purchased my second hand Audi A3 Sportback 2.0 TDi 170 in December 2009. Have had no problems with the DPF until last week.

DPF totally clogged - despite weekly long distance dual-carriageway driving. Have had to replace DPF at considerable cost, since it would not regenerate. The car mileage is only 55,000.

The only change this year is that the cars Piezo pump injector elements were replaced by Audi in late April and I changed to BP Diesel Ultimate fuel in February.

Could either of one or both of these changes have affected the DPF life, or have I just been unlucky, as I understand that DPFs should last over 100,000 miles?

More likely to be either the change of injectors or the damage done by the old injectors. Had reports of this with Passats: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/volkswagen/passat-20...d
