Fiesta overheating - help needed please
The temperature gauge in my Fiesta reads 'normal' but the water in the coolant reservoir keeps boiling. I was advised to change the thermostat which i did but it made no differance, I since noticed the fan does not kick in. how do I check if it works or what problem would cause the fan not to come on? Also if i fix the fan would this sort the original problem of the coolant boiling or what could b causing this?

If the fan doesn't come on then the coolant will boil. Most likely to be the thermo switch screwed into the water jacket of the engine block. Follow the cable from the fan motor to find it, and replace it. But you might need a bigger socket than you have in your toolkit.
